Meet Sean McNamara

Owner & Operator

Educated as an architect and shaped by his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Sean brings two distinct perspectives to every project: creative possibility and practical resourcefulness.

A father of two and graduate of the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, Sean’s vision for Sol Terra is rooted in an understanding of both everyday life and the natural environment we inhabit.

His passion for traditional craft influences the way he approaches each build — thoughtfully weaving architecture with the natural conditions of the site rather than forcing the two apart. From understanding the land to considering how a family will actually live within the space, Sean works closely with clients to guide them through proper planning and intentional decision-making from the very beginning.

For Sean, a successful project isn’t simply about what gets built. It’s about creating something that belongs — to the land, to the people who live there, and to the life that will unfold within it.

ABOUT SOL TERRA CONSTRUCTION

At Sol Terra, we believe the places we inhabit should feel deeply connected to the way we live. Homes hold memories, mark seasons of life, and carry an essence all their own. That sense of place is where we find inspiration.

Our philosophy is rooted in balance — between everyday life and the natural landscape, between form and function, and between thoughtful design and timeless craftsmanship. Through life-conscious planning, we create spaces that feel purposeful, grounded, and uniquely suited to the people who live in them.

Whether the vision is a custom home, a homestead, or a space designed for multi-generational living, we approach each project with care, attention to detail, and respect for the natural conditions of the site. We believe the best spaces come from a meaningful collaboration between human hands and nature.

The human experience is meant to be lived fully, and we believe that begins from the ground up with focused intention.

We don’t build to be seen; we craft to be lived in.
